I have someone stalking me who's been logging into my social media accounts, tracking my ip address and pretending to be me.

Somebody please help me.

Start by changing all your passwords to something secure and do a full virus scan on your PC to remove spyware and keyloggers. See if these actions get rid of the stalker's ability to hack your accounts. Do not log into your accounts from any other PC other than the one/s you have personally scanned.

Do you have any idea who it is? Do you get the idea it is someone that you know?

Yes, I know who she is. I have her hand-written notes she kept for over 2 years. I have a list of over 1500 password attempts she tried till she got it. I have taken all this to the police and they have told me to not worry about it. But I am worried. Very worried. It's not normal

Hi Jason11,

Yes, the Qld police service seem to respond like that when someone reports a crime.

Here is QLD stalking legislation:
Criminal Code 1899

They have an obligation to uphold the law. I suggest you complain to them every time this person contacts you. They'll probably continue to do nothing. After doing that a few times, escalate to the officer in charge of the station, tell him about the problem. If still nothing happens, make a formal complaint to the CCC. Complain that the police failed to investigate, failed to uphold the law.

Hopefully along the way somewhere the cops will do their job and drive around to where this person lives, ask her some questions and she'll cease.

Regarding your passwords:

1500 attempts mean she is doing it manually. Not using a password dictionary cracker. I suggest you include numbers and punctuation characters in your passwords. I suggest you use different passwords for different systems.

You should probably use 2-factor authentication.
Google Authenticator - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I hope this helps.

Regards,
