If there was an incident where a car reversing in a public car park that was dark and scrapped the front right hand side of another persons parked car because they were over the line that was not painted boldly is it okay for the stationed car to claim insurance when they were parked over the line?

Also with the claim it seems that the stationed car which had no occupants in it when the incident happened has claimed repair costs on the entire body of the car and not where the two had actually collided. This includes the back of their car and also the left side, the cars contact did not anywhere near the right side of the stationed cars mirror.

This has come up as there was a letter sent but that was in 2018, but now a debt collect has now shown up after 2 years threatening court action. There were no details exchanged at time of accident nor any sufficient photos taken at the time.

In insurance-think, a single moving car that hits a stationary one
is (rebuttably) presumed at fault.

Refer the matter to your insurer in the first instance.
Oh, you were not insured? Or your insurer declined to pay the claim?
