My marriage was overseas in home country before becoming Oz citizens. I have divorced my wife in the home country and have it authenticated at Oz embassy in 2015. I didn't lodge it in Australia hoping for reconciliation. Now as we speak I found that shes not getting any better. I work and live overseas and still paying off my home loan. I'm the sole owner of the house. I believe that by keep paying off home loan I'm increasing her share with no view for coming back together. Im building her wealth . she lives in the house with my daughter,she will turn 19 yrs ols in Aug 2017.
I have decided to register the divorce in Sydney and settle the property. Im willing to share 50/50 with her. The property price has gove too high since 2015. What is the cut off date for the proper valuation for the distribution purposes?
