The infotainment on my car has recently failed and the car company has advised it will cost me $4,500 to repair. My car was 3 year and 8 months old and 8 months out of warranty. The car had done only 48,000 km. I am going to NCAT based on the fact that I feel they have failed to meet the guidelines outlined in Australian Consumer law re quality and durability especially due to the high cost of repair. I am trying to determine what the average consumer would consider a reasonable timeframe for an infotainment system to work before a major failure such as this. Can anyone advise me please?
