If someone's bail conditions include that they must "reside" at a certain address under criminal law, do they have to be at that address every night or are they permitted to spend a night elsewhere?

You must fully comply with the terms of your bail conditions.
So if says you have to reside somewhere, then you must reside at that address, they need to you you reside there at all times (no nights off are allowed).

If you want to reside somewhere else, you will need to apply to get it approved first (if your bail conditions state that the Police can make variations, then you can aply to the Police. If not, you must apply to the Court to vary your bail conditions).

Here is a link to the Bail Act 1980 (Qld).
