We have had our caravan (brand new) for nearly a year. It developed a hairline crack in the outside wall. The company was contacted and the crack was fixed or patched under warranty. Three days after the caravan was fixed another crack appeared right next to the first one. We contacted the company and explained about the crack and mentioned that it could be a structural problem. We have been told that there is nothing they can do.

Hi,

I have found some articles that will assist you with your issue:

This article helps you understand your rights regarding repairs and refunds under the Australian Consumer Law : Your Consumer Rights - Repairs, Refunds and Exchanges - Legal Blog - LawAnswers.com.au

If they fail to fix the problem or to provide a refund to you then contacting Consumer Affairs would be best. Here is a link to article to tell you what to do if your consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law are breached : Consumer Protection: What To Do If Your Australian Consumer Law Guarantees Are Breached - Legal Blog - LawAnswers.com.au

Basically the manufacturer and retailer have a guarantee to you that the caravan you purchased will be able to be used for the purpose your brought it for and that it was able to be used, e.g. no faults.
