How long should it take for a lawyer to send me a statutory declaration?
I have requested, in writing, from a suburban lawyer who held my deceased Mother's land title a statutory declaration, as requested by Land Victoria. The lawyer claims the title was picked up by my Mother and they have a receipt to prove this. Land Victoria still has them on its system as holding the title hence the need for a stat dec.
So far it has taken 2 weeks despite a phone call, letter, and 2 follow-up emails (which they have not answered).
How long is it reasonable to wait?
Is there anything I can do to hurry them along?

Not sure how long is reasonable though it might be a good idea to put in writing that if the form is not sent to you within 14 days then they become liable for any losses/costs you incur through their inaction.

BTW, this assumes you have a legal right to request this information (eg. as executor).
