QLD Should I Have Been Contacted by Lawyer as Beneficiary?

It's been 2 months since my mother passed away. My sister is the Power of Attorney and Executor of Will. I understand I am a beneficiary along with my sister and our children. I understand the will is now in the hands of a lawyer. How long does it take? Should I have been contacted by the lawyer stating I am a beneficiary. Worried I have not seen the latest will.

Should have mentioned this is a NSW will and probate fees are involved

Unfortunately Tim, I do not know who the actual lawyer is. I thought of sending a letter to every lawyer in the area though. Does the lawyer usually contact you once they start proceeding with the will or is there a time factor to consider?

Just to be clear - is the (unknown) lawyer the executor, or is it still your sister, and the lawyer is just engaged to do the grunt work?
