A friend of mine is 16. She got a job about a year and a half ago and since then her mum has been taking a third of the money each time to "teach good money habits". Something about this seems off and I'm just wondering whether it's legal.

the kid voluntarily hands the $$ over?
16? living at home? Eating food, using electricity? Time to start paying her way.
The cops wont get involved.
