Hi,
My Mum passed away June last year. My poor Dad has been tennis balled back & forth by the solicitor because he cannot find the Original Will. There is a certified copy however the solicitor says he needs the original and also needs affidavits from the writer, Dad, the original solicitor (he moved further away to start anew and this one we're dealing with bought his business & client files) & one of the subscribing witnesses to the Will. Is this overkill, do we actually all this? I would have though the certified copy would be sufficient. My solicitor says it should be. Any input appreciated. Thanks.
