Hi we bought a Nissan patrol on finance in August 2016 dealership has said no warranty but we think this is a lemon vehicle we have had to have the clutch replaced and now the motor needs replacing I'm wondering if this would be covered under consumer law as dealer is taking no responsibility and now we are left with a car that doesn't start and is currently at the mechanics with a $7000-$10000 repair bill

Hi Hayley,
Yeah the timeframe can be a bit subjective. That's why I said I'm not sure if a court would view a significant failure 9 months after you bought a 2004 car as reasonable. I personally think you would expect a failure within 9 months of purchase for a 2004 car but I don't have all the facts and I'm not the person that needs to be convinced.
