In response to the Family Report, and the recommendations of the ICL that agree with the Family Report, I am seeking full parental responsibility, with no access for the other parent. Child is a teenager and has lived with me since birth, has had limited contact with father, he refuses to pay child support (massive debt), and there is also an AVO against him. There are also two independent specialist reports (private) that state no contact is in the best interest of the child.
Although my lawyers seem confident, I am filled with anxiety. The Family Report writer explained that although his recommendations are unusual, this is an extreme case. The ICL has told my child (a teenager) that he supports the Family Report, as have the two independent specialists. I guess I am just looking for some reassurance that although the orders sought are unusual, that we have a chance of getting them.
We are now in the Family Court due to the complex nature of this case.
