Hello everyone.
I recently went through the exhausting process of applying for Social Security Disability Insurance and was devastated when I got the rejection letter. I know that denied SSDI claims are actually quite common on the first attempt, but I'm not sure what my best next steps are.
Should I request reconsideration immediately or go straight to an ALJ hearing?
Did hiring a disability attorney make a significant difference in your case outcome?
How long did the entire appeals process take? Any advice from people who've been through this would be greatly appreciated!
