Hi I have a restraining order on my ex partner and it expires first week of November. I plan on going back to court to extend it. I was just wondering would I have to go through the same process I went through to get the intervention order to begin with or is it a different process?

You can extend restraining orders but in order to do that you will need to attend the Magistrates' Court where you initially lodged the restraining order and they will show you how to extend yor restraining order.

You will have to remember to give it enough time (so should start around now) to apply as you will have to give the other party notice.

I'd suggest that UNLESS there have been breaches with police / court intervetion then you will not succeed in having it extended. Have there been breaches which have resulted in police / court intervetion?
