WA Expired Student Visa

Hi,
My parents did not support me with funding after I reached Australia and I could not pay for my semester fees. I started working but could not save enough to pay for my semester fees and couldn’t continue my studies. I have an appointment tomorrow with immigration officer tomorrow . How can I be prepared and What are my consequences now? Are there any valid reasons for overstaying? As I have been abandoned by my parents and told not to return back home that’s why I’m stuck in this situation. Thanks.
