Hi all

I am in a situation where I have put into my new home $120,000 with my partner.

He, after 14 years is still legally married to his wife, she has been with someone else for about 13 years.

My partner sent her the online documents for divorce and asked for half of costs. She replied she won't pay a cent.

She signed a BFA at the time of separation.

Does the cost of divorce get normally included in a BFA?

Cost of a divorce uncontested is less than a couple of grand. From memory, it was just a matter of filling in some forms, having them filed and I think about $1400

If this is indeed the case, if I were in your position, I would just pay the $1400 and be done with it.

Someone here will chime in with some more details if there are other concerns shortly :)

Hi yes, thanks for reply. Will be less than $2000.

Will have to wear it and just feel annoyed for rest of my life. I shouldn't but I will!
