My full time permanent position was recently being made redundant. I accepted a transfer of employment to a temporary position with an indicated end date. The letter mentions that I am eligible to a redundancy payment should no further extensions or the date be available or redeployment. I am wanting to accept a redundancy payment in the future. To be eligle do I have to accept an extension of the date up until the role is no longer required?

The letter needs to be clear all prior service is counted. And you do need to be careful, else you may lose your entitlement to a redundancy.
