My 16-year-old daughter was caught driving without a drivers licence today. The police brought her home to me. I was asked for a day and time we were available to attend the station to discuss this. Neither of us received any paperwork whatsoever. Is this common policy under Traffic Law?

It may not be literal SOP,
but as an example of "light touch" policing, it's no bad thing.
