so about 6 years ago I was friends with the wrong people and long story short - I stole some items from a shop for roughly $200.
I went to court and went through the process and got no recorded conviction.
I have received no charges since and have turned my self around essentially.
I’m a junior accountant at an investment company.
they are undergoing HR revamp and the lawyer wants to do a background check on anyone in the finance team -me!
I’ve found a lot of conflicting information online and I’m just wondering - if they do a check will it show I had to attend court for this offence even though there is no conviction recorded??
I am beyond stressed because I’ve neverdone anything like following that situation and I just don’t want to have my job at risk.
Can anyone tell me if it’ll show that I attended court for this?
