Hi,
My question is: I have been employed by a Police Force years ago and I vaguely remember signing some type of 'confidentiality agreement', similar to signing under 'The Secrets Act' in the Army. I have written a book and am wondering how enforceable this 'agreement' would be. I'm not letting any great secrets out of the bag and I've read other books by former police officers who have said much more than I have. Does anyone have any legal opinion on this. Thanks.

When you say
"...employed by a Police force..."
I can't help wondering if that means
in some role other than sworn constable?

Hi Tim. Thanks for your reply. Yep, I was sworn. Retired as a Sergeant a few years ago.
My concern with running my manuscript past a solicitor, apart from the cost is that I may put the poor soul into a never ending coma!
