I definitely don't want her ousted from their lives rather I wish she would be proactive to be part of it even if it was a small part. The one thing we learn quickly in a marriage breakdown is we never really knew our partner deep or what they are capable of. Perhaps because we looked at them through rose coloured glasses when we were in a relationship.
Thank you for all your answers AllForHer! I have filled in the form now to submit to the Minister and also contacted the maternal grandad again via email asking if he can ask some of the cousins that may know where she is. I figured that even if he doesn't then I can show a Judge one day that I tried to make contact through my inlaws as well.
Hopefully I post back here in a few months with positive feedback of time frames etc.
