8 years ago, I was charged with a low range DUI offence - proved dismissed.

I am trying to get a drivers job and this offence shows on my record, which is contrary to what I was told. My National Polic Check shows 'no disclosable court outcomes or pending charges'.

What gives?

A section 10 1b will remain on your record. This is the offence was proved but dismissed and you were placed on a bond. A section 10 1a will not show on your Federal Police check but will show on a driving history in NSW.

This is a sentence in which the charge was proved and dismissed without being placed on a bond. If there were no records of section 10 matters people could theoretically obtain them on multiple occasions. As it stands one can only receive one section 10 for a traffic matter every five years.
