Good morning everyone,
I have a question concerning the law in a building parking area when a car is actually crashed by someone. I live in Brisbane and my car was crashed on the driver side when it was parked on my place.

I would like to know if someone can help me about the law in a private property parking area concerning cars?

Thank you very much for your answers,
Kind Regards

Hi Gabrielle,

Do you have an idea of who the driver was that crashed into your car? Or the car that did the damage?

If you know the driver/car, then you can seek compensation for any damage/repair costs to your car. If they refuse, you can recover this from them in court via tort of property damage/trespass.

Is your car insured? Why do you ask about insurance law?
