My parents hired a contractor to put in-built bookshelves in our house. They have employed him before and he told them a quote for the bookshelves. Once they were built he said he had a buddy that would spray paint them for my parents but did not give a price. Assuming that this service was part of the imputing of brand new bookshelves, my parents said ok. Now they bookshelves are spray painted and the painter wants $3,500 for the service. My parents were never told a price let alone one so outrageous.
What do they do? Do they have to pay it or do they have another option?
