Basically, I would like to have my details removed from the Australian Electoral Commission enrolment list.
I identify as an Aboriginal and under the The Commonwealth Electoral Act 1962 which states that Aboriginal people have the optional right to enrol and vote in Federal elections in Australia.
My understanding is that if you identify as Aboriginal and have the proof to back up that claim, then it is not compulsory for you to vote in Federal and State elections due to the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1962.

Based on the information I have provided and I am not sure if I am correct, I would not be required to vote in State elections as Federal legislation overrides State/Territory legislation under Section 109 of the Australian Constitution?

What would your own thoughts of process be on this subject?
