Hi, I was wondering about the legality of printing toy guns. I know this tech is new so there isn't many laws to support it but I do know that in other states people have been hit with hefty punishment for even having files of fake guns. I currently have no such files.

I have no plans of printing copies of real firearms but I am curious as to how far it extends, like if I were to print something from a Movie or Sci-fi game could I still face the same penalty.

I am thinking of something like what can be found through this link: Download Destiny Last Word Exotic Hand Cannon von Lael Lee

It looks too close to an imitation firearm.

While it may be legal in SA if it is incapable of being modified to fire real ammunition, I doubt it is legal in other states.

Plus carrying it in public areas is likely to land you in trouble with police under other criminal laws, especially if you have a long beard!

Get something more sci-fi and not so realistic.
