Thankyou all for your assistance and advice. Yes I can confirm it was a private application I believe through online submissions as there are no face to face hearings in Victoria presently. I don’t think it was through the police as I only had to go to the police station to be issued with it. The application came after being separated for 3 months and after I notified her of settling on the house and contact with my kids through mediation. The allegations have managed to cover every area, from posting images of her online, physical abuse of children on two occasions and verbal abuse as well as alleged sexual assault of the ex. No dates listed of the alleged event on the IVO and all totally false allegations. I have worked in a government statutory program for children for 12 years. Not one complaint or instance of misconduct. I have coached sporting teams for kids for 5 years l, once again not one complaint from a parent or association. I cannot have any form of contact with my kids or my ex or any sort of electronic communication. Can’t even put photos of my kids on Facebook. I was the contact person for my kids schools. I was also the contact person for my daughters mental health counselling. Is she allowed to defame me by showing the IVO details to a school and sporting clubs? People that I have been in contact with for a very long time. I am hoping to see if there is a response from her through the mediation but I am meeting with a lawyer on Wednesday.

bad news.
Yup she will be telling everyone.
Good news - Everyone has a brother, cousin, friend who has been in this boat. I was amazed at the compasion I was shown from people I wouldn't have expected it from when I was struggling with this.

Ok so find out, ask the police. Is it a private application? That is a bit of a game changer.

Double check with police if you like, but the applicant should be on the Interim order served, ie, wifes name, or Victoria police on behalf of wife's name ...
Is she allowed to defame me by showing the IVO details to a school and sporting clubs?
Suggest you keep screenshots & all evidence of her unnecessarily notifying people or organisations of the order .... It may become supporting evidence in a cross application if the behavior continues after fair warning (as in a cease & desist letter for eg)

The interim IVO lists my wife as the applicant. Yes I will keep text messages. I have it also in a text her threatening an intervention order if I try and settle on the house after notifying her that I booked in and organised mediation. It appears she then went online and made the application through the court online portal.

Allegations like this are common unfortunately.
It is worth being pragmatic as much as you can, rather than taking it personally (although it feels personal). If it happened to a friend, what would you say to them? If you are up to being proactive and officially tell the various groups and people the difficulties and broad allegations, it may help reduce your fears. At will at least allow them to discuss the issues with you, and come up with strategies on how to manage the situation until it is resolved. Hopefully you would get support and find out that many people would be very sympathetic and supportive of your tough situation. You should still be able to receive information for all the relevant issues, as you are still their parent.

Thankyou yes is have resigned to the fact that I have gone from a very hands on dad to being an alone individual now. I am lucky to have allot of other family support. I was only served with the IVO on Friday so first hearing is at the end of Sept.

Yea okay .... 3 months is a looong time for a first mention.... Anyway, FM is just to basically give you the opportunity to accept, accept without admissions or oppose, she won't need to be there & probably won't be .... Consider proposing that you are willing to accept without admission if the kids names are removed as protected persons, that allowance is made to mediate with her regarding children & property matters via an accredited mediator ..... You DON'T want communication limited via lawyer only.. ($$$ & possibly endless game playing on her lawyers part) ..... May not be accepted at FM but worth a shot..

Is there any recourse I can have before then even if I speak to them police? Reason being I work in a government job with children and she threatened in a phone call earlier this year to tell my work place. All these allegations are serious yet false and I am concerned about beings stood down at work. She had made no prior police reports about any of these allegations.
