I am a recently separated dad (2 months). I have 3 children (11, 9 & 1) with me full time in the family home pursuant to an interim order.

I am somewhat surprised as my ex lodged a DVO application and then an Application for Recovery Order and Notice of Risk on consecutive days (she started the day after she lost her Centrelink payments).

My question is not so much legal but I want to share experiences with guys in similar situations
I have no legal representation. My ex is backed by some women's group and is being totally vexatious. However, the real issue for me is being able to share my experience with others as the emotional drain is huge.

I am not looking for " verbal ex-bashing" but rather some forum, group or individual where we can give reciprocal support and share experiences.

Can I ask about the interim orders don't you both have to agree to those orders?

Is the DVO still before the court?

No. Interim orders do not require consent. You may be thinking of consent orders.

Definitely not.

She presented a 4 page submission to retrieve the children immediately, put guards on every border in case I took them, restrict access to the children to virtually nothing and gag me from discussing any matters relating to the case (so that the perjury in her affidavit would not be exposed).

I presented leave them with me where they are happy and comfortable, let her see them every weekend (she now works weekdays and I work from home) and let her call them at will.

My proposal was accepted as the interim orders

Yes, set for trial in May 2019.

In the meantime, I have a vexatious interim order against me for no reason other than to further her application in the Family Circuit Court.

The discussion is a little off track. Does any know of any men's support groups for this type of issue
I tried Whirpool but they shut the conversation down?

The women seem to have it covered by hanging off the sympathy of domestic violence groups
(which I support when they are not being abused and used simply to try and gain favour in parenting cases and the like).
