My mother's will has her full name listed but in brackets after it has "also known as ****" which was her maiden name. Is it fair to assume that this is an alias and would need to go on the court forms and notice of intention to apply for grant notice. I have never seen her maiden name on any billing/correspondence etc and her title was always her married name, but it's on the will in any case.
Tim......thank you for that information. Your post prompted me to immediately google the probate office (QLD) and I subsequently came across rule 599 (1)of the UCPR. Quote: any known alias of the deceased must be included in the notice of intention to apply and the headings of all filed documents. I guess that clarifies my uncertainty. Cheers
