Hi

I recently got stopped by a Traffic Officer in QLD and told I would be getting an Infringement Notice by MMS to my mobile phone. That was over a week ago and the Infringement Notice has not arrived.
Legally do I have to chase the police to issue the notice or is it their responsibility to make sure it is issued? The QPS says to contact them if you don't get it, but they would, wouldn't they! I want to understand the legal position.

Can I legally contest any notification from SPER if I never received the original Infringement Notice?

Thanks

Nah.
"I never received the notice" never works as a defence.
Chase up the police, and keep good diary notes of when you did.
