How do I go about making my mother the temporary Legal Guardian of my 17 year old daughter? Her father works FIFO so he is only home 2 weeks at a time. I need to have some medical treatment and I want to make my mom the guardian so that she can make decisions regarding my daughter when me and my husband are not around. Is this something that can be done?

stress less. You could apply to court but by the time that happens the kid will be 18.
Look, granny can sign school notes, take the kid to the doctor and basically to everything necessary. So don't get solicitors involved.
