We're fairly often getting questions which revolve around the way contracts and legislation are read from a legal construction point of view. I'm thinking we might do well to have a thread on how to approach certain aspects of looking at the law.

For example:
- Determining days and time periods.
- Relationships between Acts and Regulations.
- General tips on reading sections (For example, along the lines of: Checking the Act applies, finding the relevant section, looking for exemptions and qualifications).
- How to do very basic case research.
- What regulators look after what areas of law.
