Hi , My friend had just bought a used car without a road worthy. When he went to get a roadworthy certificate he was told the car was a statutory write-off. He's obviously very upset and feels really stupid that he trusted the seller. Does he have any recourse? Thanks

Sorry, but it is a pretty black and white. The buy has a responsibility to check the car does not have finance owing, is stolen, or is faulty.
