Hi All,
So I was a sole trader in Queensland over a year ago. At the time my client had arranged a car hire through their own agent. I have recently been approached by a collections agency on behalf of the hire company chasing me for full payment of the invoice and a cleaning fee. They are chasing me down as I placed my credit card on file as a pre-requisite to picking up the car. I have attempted to contact my client but have so far been ghosted by them.
My questions are:

My questions are:
- Can I tell the collections to chase my client, as I was not the party to hire the car in the first place or am I legally liable for the whole bill as I placed my card down on pickup?
- Do I have recourse against my client if they refuse to pay?
