Hi , my ex and I have been separated for 7 yrs, it's complicated and I'm living in the house we both have our name on the mortgage, with our 4 kids , what happens if he passes away ? Do I lose the house ?

If you are listed as joint tenants and he dies, it is likely you you get 100% of the house and the mortgage to pay.

If you are tenants in common, his share goes to his estate.
