Hi I am on the management committee of an association registered in NSW. The previous coordinator has kept the ownership of the google group lists with no current committee member sharing ownership only management access. We have in our constitution that upon resignation committee members hand over their roles within 14 days. Can you inform me if the current committee does not act upon this what legal consequences may we be facing in terms of company law and the new privacy laws. Thank you.

    you are not a corporation of the kind covered by that act.
    If you are an incorporated association, then have a look at the
    Associations Incorporation Act 2009 (NSW).
