I have the Optus credit company telling me I have to pay $500 up front and then a large amount each week to pay off a debt. I can only pay $50 per week. if I insist on $50 per week and I start paying it what could they do?
If the case went to court, the judge will likely take into account your capacity to repay by looking at your income and expenses.... but they will show no mercy to your disposable income, be warned!
So, look at your budget the way a court will look at it and present this argument to Optus
