NSW My car is gone-Anything i can do?

Hey, my friend and his ex girlfriend got in a dispute which led to an avo being put on the both of them which made it so that neither of them could go to each other's houses. His ex ended up getting his car towed to a wreckers because he was not able to collect it from her property and then she withheld where she got it towed to. When he finally found out where it was and called the wreckers they told him it was already gone.

I was just wondering if there was any action he could take in regards to getting his car back or compensation or anything at all?

Your friend had remedies for getting the car back. Looks like your friend did not have legal assistance

Your friend could take the ex to court for the value of the car, but there are many variables not stated above that may affect the outcome. If the car was registered he may have a case against the wreckers.
