Thanks Rod. I’ve previously approached him in January last year when this thread first began.
My eldest sons father can’t relocate as he owns his own business and has had this same business for 22 years.
I wouldn’t just relocate. I’d just like some advice please?

Also what I’m hearing is that the relationship with the younger children is more important currently due to them spending more time with their father. and that my eldest sons fathers relationship is irrelevant because they haven’t? And only see each other in school holidays.

Both sets of relationships are important. And this is why you are in a difficult situation.

    Your options are:

    1. Move and hope it works out
    2. Apply to court for relocation orders
    3. Talk it out with the twins' father
    4. Do nothing (ie have long distance relationship with first ex)

Hard to say which is the best option. I'm leaning towards option 3, but not confident it is the best option for you.

But I agree this is the first step.
Then when he doesn’t agree or give permission? What’s the next step pls?

Apply direct to the court for relocation orders? Is this expensive?

    OK.

So option 1 makes the ex take action.

Option 2 is less disturbing for the children but may cost more. Not too expensive if you DIY.

Thanks again Rod. What’s involved in doing the request for relocation orders myself?

Just to clarify there are no court orders or consent orders in place.
