Legal Aid - Financial Threshold to Get It?

    I’m wishing to know how much do you have to earn to get legal aid? I am paying my house off.

    Hi Karen,

    Legal aid doesn't simply look at what you earn. They have a means test which take into account your income and assets. The means test is only one of the eligibility requirements to get legal aid.     Legal aid will also take into account what you want legal assistance for and if you are likely to win your case (called a merit test). There are also other tests.
