My former wife has lied to police to obtain a DVO. During the course of settlement her lawyer acting for settlement has warned me and acted on several breaches(texting) during an exchange over a breach I was able to prove her client has lied. She now refuses to answer or act on any Domestic violence matters saying they are being handled by police. Is it too late for the lawyer to claim that they only represent the client for settlement when they previously had plenty to say about the breaches. I ended up in jail for the breaches is it ethical for that lawyer to see an innocent person person go to jail without alerting the court or police of the lie???

You need to see a solicitor ASAP and show the evidence you have to prove what has happened.
