Is it legal to tell partner or service of divorce papers?

I'm going to be using a process server to serve notice of divorce on my partner in a few days. I want to tell her so she is prepared, but I'm not sure if it is legal to do so. Any ideas?

I assume you've been separated for at least a year?

It's not illegal to tell someone they're about to be served with an application for Court proceedings of any description.

As long as the language you use to give notice
is polite and non-threatening by ordinary standards,
then no (legal) problem.
