QLD Is Ex Still Entitled to Inheritance?

Hi,

I have been separated for 10 years, however, we haven't divorced yet. Property settlement was completed just after separation.

My grandfather has recently passed away and I stand to inherit 50% of his estate. Being that we have done the property settlement, but are not divorced, does my ex have any claim to the inheritance?

Nope - but don't tell her about it... Get divorced. If you die without a will, it would go to her by default.
