Hi,

To be honest, I used to sell some illegal stuff online and I contact my customers via E-mail. I always delete the e-mail after transaction.

I'm wondering about section 317 of the Crimes Act 1900.

It says that a person who, with intent to mislead any judicial tribunal in any judicial proceeding suppresses, conceals, destroys, alters or falsifies anything knowing that it is or may be required as evidence in any judicial proceeding is liable to imprisonment for 10 years.

If my understanding is right, it is an offence to delete e-mails after I am arrested and before go to court

I haven't be arrested, also not under police interview.

is it offence that I delete my e-mail that I sent to my customers? Or not?

The provision you've posted only relates to an offence in the process of a judicial proceeding ie, the matter being before the courts.
