Hi all,
We got married outside Australia, post which my husband has gone missing, looting me of money. After a lot of search I got to know that he has received a PR visa for Australia and has migrated to Australia.
My questions:
  1. How do I find him in Australia? Embassy in my country is not helping. Should I contact the Interpol; or the embassy in Australia? Or is there any other way? Please suggest.
  2. On grounds of fraud and cruelty warrent from the cops or court of my country, can I have the Interpol or the Ministry of Australia cancel his visa and deport him? How else can I request Australian authority to cancel his visa and deport him? I am aware of character grounds, but would my case qualify for it?
  3. Is it true that in Australia, one can get married without a divorce after showing 2 years of separation from wife?
Please help me with a speedy reply.
Thank you.

what you want him for? Are there any court cases against him or involving him? Which country do you want him to go back to?

And no you cant get married in Australia if you are still legally married to someone else.

As for finding him, I suggest you look for a commercial agent who specialises in 'skip tracing'. Alternatively, you can start by jumping on Google and trying some extensive searching.

Thank you for the replies.

But can anyone tell me whether Interpol or Australian Embassy, or Ministry will help me locate and deport my husband? Yes, a court case is prevailing on my husband's name.

I liked the idea of skip tracing. Checked and contacted few online but they charge a bomb, also not sure about their credibility. My husband has already cheated and taken a lot of money from me, and I stay alone, bearing my expenses. So I am a bit in a financial crunch to spend that much, hence require the government way to reach out to my husband.

I am not aware of Australian laws, how to go about in my case, whether Australian Embassy, Ministry, or Interpol entertains such cases or not, so require your counsel here.

Please help.

No-one can answer this question without knowing the basis on which you say he should be located and deported.
