In a discussion with people: if someone has life insurance police and commits suicide, then insurance company will not honor the policy. Does that depend on whether the person was in Australia or Overseas?

If the person commits suicide and has a Will in Australia, will that Will be honored as per the person's request and wishes, or the State would decide on how to distribute the person's assets? Also, does this depend on whether the person is in Australia or Overseas?

So is the Will treated as life insurance policy?

Also, is there difference in the treatment in each state? or it is same treatment in all Australian states.

Cheers,

Any comments on the above, this is for theory aspect only. No one is harming themselves (I'm thinking that people are not answering as if someone is about to harm themselves, there is no such thing).
