QLD How do you go about changing your bail address ??

A friend of mine was locked up in Townsville and the court released him on bail.The only thing is he was bailed to Townsville and he is actually from cairns and would like to move his bail address to cairns. How would he go about that?

Does the bail undertaking state that police can vary bail conditions? If so, they can apply to the police or the court to vary the bail conditions.

If it doesn’t state that police can vary bail conditions, they must apply to the court to vary the bail condition that they reside at a particular address.

I don't know whether by "bail address" you mean the court you are bailed to or your residential address. If you mean the court then again you will have to apply to the court to change it to Cairns. Not sure you will succeed in that.
