Hello.......

My father passed September last year and I was named as his beneficiary, how long does it take for the executor to finalise his estate?

I have read it must be completed within 12 months of passing, I have also read that it must be completed within 12 months from granting of probate, which one is correct? He was a resident and passed away in NSW. Probate has been granted and I have completed all NSW revenue and transmission application paperwork for my name to be put on the property title.

I feel that this is an extremely "easy" will though the executor seems to be dragging the chain so to speak and I just want to move on.

thanks for your help,
Kingsley.
