Can someone please explain what a child inclusive conference is under family law and what happens, etc?

Its a meeting with a 'family consultant' and includes the adults and obviously any children involved. There are no lawyers present and the conference is designed to give the court an idea of what is happening from the kids perspective. It helps judicial officers make short-term decisions about arrangements for the child/ren and/or the parties to reach an agreement.

Thank you for your reply.
What kind of things do they ask parents and children? Or do they simply observe?
