NSW Family Court and Caveat - Can I Sell My Home ?

A caveat has been lifted off my home. Can I now sell it even though I have a de facto case pending in the family court? The case has been going on for about a year now & I have been representing myself. At this stage whether a de facto relationship exists has not been proven as yet.

If the caveat has been lifted, there's nothing stopping you from selling your home.

I might just sell and vanish somewhere. He is not entitled to anything, anyway. Can I do that?

Haha, not really. You can sell and vanish, but if there's a case pending, you'll still have to attend for proceedings and provide an address for service.
